As expected, January saw a rebound from the holiday dip in December, but compared to January 2024, assignment volumes were 6.4% lower when excluding healthcare-related assignments.

The number of consultants showcasing their profiles increased by 20.8% compared to January 2024 and by 2.8% compared to December 2024.
With slightly fewer assignments and more available consultants, competition for projects is tightening, making visibility and the right connections more important than ever.

📉 Roles Facing a Decline
❌ Engineers (-2.5%)
❌ Developers (-2%)

🏙️ City Growth Continues
Assignments in major cities grew by 3.5%, with Stockholm and Copenhagen leading the way.

🌍 Remote & Hybrid Work
Remote assignments increased by 3% compared to December 2024 and by nearly 5% compared to January 2024. Compared to the full year of 2024, the share of remote assignments in January 2025 was about 3% higher. The hybrid work trend remains strong!
