Unexpected Boost for Remote
📊 Market in August
August 2025 was slightly weaker than the same month last year – about -2% (excluding healthcare). At the same time, we saw a clear, but expected, recovery from July.
👥 Roles
Developers decreased by around -4%, going against the trend we saw in the first half of 2025, when developers actually strengthened their position. Meanwhile, business analysts (+2%), solution architects (+1%) and controllers (+1%) increased.
🌍 Geography
The metropolitan regions dropped by about -3% compared to July. An unusual pattern – but one month alone does not say much about the bigger picture.
💻 Remote & hybrid
Remote-friendly assignments jumped sharply. Compared to July the increase was around +11%, and compared to August last year about +14%. Hybrid rose by 6 percentage points and remote by 5. It looks like a trend break – but we see it more as a temporary “blip.”
