A clear dip – but not the full picture
After an upward movement in March, the market declined in April. At the same time, competition remains high.
📊 Assignments & competition
Assignment volume decreased by −17.9% compared to March (excl. healthcare) and is slightly down (−2.2%) compared to April 2025.
Part of the decline can be attributed to Easter, which fell early this year and likely reduced overall activity levels.
The number of available consultants also decreased slightly (−4.0% month-to-month and −3.3% year-on-year), but remains at relatively high levels. The number of active advertisers declined modestly compared to March, but is still slightly higher than last year.
At the same time, the average number of applications per assignment increased somewhat, reinforcing the picture of continued competition despite lower demand. Registrations remain at elevated levels.
Overall, the market continues to move with noticeable variation from month to month, rather than in a straight upward trend.
🌍 Geography
Geographic changes are minimal, with metropolitan regions increasing slightly (+0.4%). Overall, the market moves broadly in line across regions.
🏠 Remote & hybrid work
The share of remote and hybrid assignments remains stable compared to March. Changes are small, indicating a continued steady state.
