Assignment-free time
This year, Brainville grew by 23.4% compared to 2023, with 82% of new registrations being freelancers. At the same time, the number of available experts increased by 27%.
Does this suggest that demand isn’t keeping up with supply, or are more consultants simply exploring new opportunities in a tighter market?
Interestingly, 18% of new registrations come from companies with more than one consultant, many being small firms with 2–10 employees. This adds complexity to understanding the “assignment-free time” in the consulting world.
When asked, people in the industry often estimate it to be between 10% and 20%.
