Application Engineer, Telenor

For Telenor we are looking for a Application Engineer.

Service assurance is essential for Telenor to enhance operational efficiency and to improve customer satisfaction. Telenor is investing heavily in a future proof solution that will increase automation and proactivity of Telenor Operations towards zero-touch experience, zero trouble experience and self-assurance ambitions.

Assignment description and activities to be performed
• Application deployment and operation of Telenor’s service assurance solution. Cloud native solution deployed on RedHat OpenShift consisting of 100+ microservices (for common portal, service topology inventory, alarm and event management, reporting & analytics, automation, adapters and mediation).
• The solution relies on open source solutions for development and configuration (delivery/ops context), the application engineer will be allocated to the Service Assurance delivery /ops team and will play a key role in ensuring optimal developer experience.

Competence requirement

• Experience as solution architect for cloud native solutions.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining applications in a cloud native environment, specifically on OpenShift. Including CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure as a code.

• Experience with Linux environment. Ability to learn/use open source solutions for processing, distribution and visualization of data (ex: Grafana, Nifi, Kafka,…).

• Experience with MariaDB and Neo4J

• Experience with IAM solutions like Keycloak.

• The role will require security clearance.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Oracle database maintenance and tuning

• Experience with MariaDB og Neo4J
