emagine is looking for a System Operation Engineer with 5 years experience, interest for railways and Information Systems, IT and Operations.
The key responsibilities in this role will be to:
▪ Perform system monitoring in operations, proactively react on operational problems and contribute to improve the system operation
▪ Participate in 24/7 service desk duty as Single Point Of Contact for our customer approximately one week per month
▪ Perform incident detection, management and response activities and act as a 1st and 2nd Line support
▪ Be a contact point for development and engineering teams, continuously align activities to support system improvements
▪ Be the point of contact for all service-related topics regarding the system
You need to have most of the following qualifications and experience:
▪ Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
▪ Min. 3 years’ experience in cloud operation
▪ ITIL experience
▪ Extensive knowledge within cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and corrective actions
▪ Knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloud operation
▪ Experience with container environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
▪ Experience with zero-downtime deployment of web applications
▪ Experience working with cloud providers, preferably AWS
▪ Experienced with asset and user management
▪ Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken
▪ Norwegian would be a benefit
A benefit would be to have:
▪ Good Linux system administration and optimization knowledge
▪ Background from networking
▪ Experience with programming and scripting languages
▪ Interested and skill set in DevOps principles
▪ Experience with continuous integration and tools
▪ Experience using relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, postgres)
The work can be done in a combination of onsite and remote
