For our client Volvo Cars we are looking for a SW Support Novel Battery Control Architecture.

Background
A small cross-functional project team at Volvo Cars is working on a novel battery control architecture. During this concept development process, it is intended to build a cluster board rig based on a test vehicle planning to be built during spring 2024.
Development is made on internally developed hardware which is based on nrf5340 processor (ARM architecture). The environment used is Segger Embedded Studio and Git for version control. Development is made on hardware interface /device level (using C), and application level (using Simulink).

Timing
Volvo Cars sees a team of three engineers (developers) delivering master BSW with start ASAP and continue during 2024 with delivieries according to timings below.

5.0 first X1 components, 24w37 Masterboard rig:
  • HW: 2x Masterboard (in-house board) with nrf radio units and potentially also a NRF to complement the infineon
  • SW: same as w33 unless they are quick in getting something up and running on the Infineon (better)

5.1 Pinnacle+ upgrade (from NRF) on cluster, 24w45 rigg:
  • HW: 60x cluster boards (Pinnacle+ controller upgrade for radio) + 2x Infineon master board (in-house board)
  • SW:
  • E0.0 would be the first release so that they can do cluster testing of 5.1 hardware but with the real radio from ADI and master board
  • controller from Infineon;
  • 1st SmartCell functional growth;

Scope of Work
The team is required to configure BSW within the scope of the project.
  • Board bring up via Mcal, BSW configuration.
  • Board bring up with RTOS
  • Driver configuration
  • CDD development
  • Device driver integration
  • Make a build system for non autosar node
  • The scope of work may change depending on project growth and status.

Prerequisites
Volvo cars expects the candidates to have a degree within software engineering.
  • Proven experience within this field is a must.
  • Embedded SW Development experience
  • Knowledge about Infineon TC3xx

AUTOSAR Based
  • Practical AUTOSAR BSW configuration experience on Communication and OS
  • Device driver development experience

Non AUTOSAR Based
  • RTOS
  • Build system

Below are plus
  • Good understanding of OSI 7-layers
  • Understanding of Functional Safety
  • Understanding of Cyber security
