Responsibilities
The day to day is broad, covering areas such as on-prem legacy environments, cloud integration and migration projects, network security, power apps and more. Please note that this role is not an operational role.
The aim is to support the business in incoming requests, while also spending time and effort on developing guidelines and design principles together with the Architecture team. Regarding incoming requests, it is crucial that this person has a pragmatic but risk-based approach. The expectation is that the person should be able to quickly identify risks, and clearly articulate such risks to both security and business stakeholders.
As time permits, we also see that this role will perform internal risk audits of existing solutions and suggest improvements to enhance the overall security posture.
Not only do what is asked but identify improvements and take ownership in different forums.
Requirements
Experience in architecting security solutions for both cloud-based and on-premises environments is highly valued.
Strong understanding of both cloud and on-premises infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage systems, and databases.
Ability to assess risks associated with both cloud and on-premises environments and develop strategies to mitigate those risks effectively.
Strong knowledge in cloud best practices, functionality, and secure design strategies.
Strong knowledge in security mechanisms in cloud, including areas that would impact security posture such as IAM, networking, firewalls, data and applications.
Certifications such as AZ-500 and SC-100 is highly beneficial.
Good understanding of supply-chain risks management and security implications of third-party solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT operations, development, and business units to ensure security requirements are understood and integrated into the overall architecture.
A strong sense of and adherence to ethical standards and integrity.
Previous experience
Minimum of five years of experience within security architecture, preferably with additional background also covering other areas of security.
