Our client in the automotive industry is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer.
Our client is making bold digital visions come true. They aim to lead the automotive world by creating a digital ecosystem built around making their customers’ lives less complicated. Now, they are looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking.
They are a data engineering team working to bridge the gap between data producers and data consumers. Their focus is to enhance efficiency in crafting data products through a streamlined journey leveraging their platform capabilities. Their mission is to deliver their business goals with general-purpose data engineering solutions and methodologies, aligning best practices from the company and the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Define, develop, build, test, and deploy data products.
- Collaborate with other teams in all of Engineering (R&D).
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to ensure the right functionality is being developed.
- Estimate the size and complexity of the work to plan upcoming sprints.
- Determine and maintain the technical design within architectural guidelines.
- Interact with stakeholders and System Architect as an equally important part of daily work.

Who are you?
We believe you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields, that you are familiar with Agile methods, and that you are fluent in English, both verbal and written.

- Deep knowledge and passion for modern data architecture principles.
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Data Engineer in an agile environment.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Pragmatic approach, understanding the trade-offs between the perfect solution and a working solution.
- Passion for improving code quality as well as data quality.
- Knowledgeable about data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure and AWS).
It is meritorious to have experience in the automotive industry.
Additionally, proficiency in Software Engineering, System Design, SQL, CI/CD toolchain, IaC, GitOps, DevOps, Cloud Computing & the cloud-native ecosystem, data privacy and security by design, and networking is essential.
Data is integral to everything they do. Therefore, they expect a certain level of data acumen, and any experience working with the complexities surrounding data is considered useful.
