Lead Test Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Test Engineer Consultant or Freelancer for our client in the central of Gothenburg.

You will lead a team of 4-5 testers in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The Lead Test Engineer will be responsible for designing test strategies, coordinating testing efforts, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in automated testing, with proficiency in scripting using Python or shell.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement test strategies and methodologies to ensure comprehensive test coverage

- Lead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to achieve testing objectives

- Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites to streamline testing processes

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and priorities

- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and testability

- Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes and proposing solutions

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 7 years in software testing, with a focus on automated testing

- Proven knowledge in leading and managing a team of testers

- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or shell

- Worked with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

- Worked with automated testing frameworks and tools, such as Pytest and Robot

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Communication and collaboration abilities

- Valid driver's license
