Job-description:
We are seeking a dynamic Frontend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing user interfaces for our web applications, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing experience for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
User Interface Development:
· Design, implement and maintain responsive web interfaces using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript.
· Collaborate closely with UX and UI designers to implement responsive web designs and ensure visual consistency.
· Optimise application for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
· Focus on lightweight solutions and progressive enhancements to ensure compatibility with a maximum number of devices.
Integration with Backend:
· Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with APIs and data services.
Modern Frontend Development:
· Help select a modern frontend development framework (or not) based on target audiences, technological constraints and IT security requirements.
· Develop and maintain web applications using modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or similar technologies.
Performance Optimisation:
· Ensure website functionality and performance on multiple devices and browsers by utilizing testing tools and methodologies.
1. Optimise application assets for faster load times without compromising quality (CDN, cache busting, etc).
Collaboration & documentation:
· Work closely with a cross-functional team, including UX/UI designers, backend developers, product management, and other subject-matter experts.
· Help establishing the GxP documentation: user requirement, functional and design specifications.
Desired Qualifications:
· Demonstrated experience in front-end development using a variety of frameworks, or raw JavaScript/TypeScript.
· Deep understanding of modern semantic web, experience with structured content a plus.
· Solid knowledge of frontend build tools.
· Experience in integrating with RESTful APIs.
· Experience in building statically generated websites and applications.
· Knowledge of CSS preprocessors.
Overall, we are looking for someone with very strong front-end development skills who is not specifically attached to a specific toolkit or library. This project requires out-of-the-box thinking, with a solid understanding of how people located all around the world would use a web system, and how latency, code size, image formats and distribution networks (amongst other factors) will affect their experience.
