Market bouncing back after summer
π The market in September
Across the Nordics, the number of assignments increased by about 3 % compared to September 2024 β and by a remarkable 53 % compared to August. The number of consultants actively looking for assignments rose by 24 % year-on-year and 11 % month-on-month.
π₯ Roles
Developers continued to strengthen their position, up 4.5 %. Testers, IT security specialists and controllers also grew, while engineers and business analysts saw a slight decline.
π Geography
Overall, geographical shifts were small at the Nordic level. But the local differences tell an interesting story: Swedenβs metropolitan regions dipped slightly, while Oslo grew strongly (+12 %). Helsinki also stood out with solid growth.
π» Remote & hybrid
The share of assignments allowing remote work was much higher than in September 2024 (+14 %), but declined slightly compared to August (β3 %). Fully remote assignments grew over the past year, while hybrid saw a small drop during September.
