What does your company profile say about you?
When someone finds your company on Brainville, it should not take much detective work to understand what you offer.
Your company profile is your shop window. It lets you describe your business and services while highlighting your areas of expertise, roles and skills. Add locations, customers, insurance details and the right contacts, and visitors can quickly get a good picture of your company.
A stronger and more active profile is easier to find
To appear in Brainville’s company search, your profile strength must exceed 50%. However, that is only the threshold for being included.
Search results are ranked primarily by relevance: how well a company matches what the visitor is looking for. But profile strength and activity also matter. A complete company profile receives a small ranking boost because it gives potential buyers and business partners more useful information. Companies that are active on Brainville receive a similar advantage.
Companies that have not been active on Brainville for a longer period may rank lower and be marked as inactive in the search results. This helps give more current company profiles greater visibility.
Relevance will always be the most important factor, but keeping your profile complete and up to date improves both your visibility and the impression you make once someone finds you.
Let your consultants’ expertise speak for the company
Roles and skills do not need to be updated manually in several places. You can choose to automate them.
Brainville will then collect the roles and skills from your company’s consultant profiles and display the combined expertise on the company profile. When the consultant profiles are updated, the company profile follows.
This is particularly useful for consulting firms with several consultants.
Freelancers can avoid duplicate work
For freelancers with their own company, much of the information is the same in the consultant profile and the company profile. That is why the two can be synchronized.
The option is available under Company – Settings. You can also see which sections are affected, marked with a synchronization symbol.
Naturally, this feature does not apply to freelancers working through an umbrella company, as they do not have their own company on Brainville.
Soon, your profile can be used in more places
We are also preparing the option to share your company profile with external platforms. This will allow information already maintained on Brainville to create opportunities in other contexts as well.
You remain in control at all times. You decide whether to share the profile, which external party to share it with and for how long. You can stop sharing whenever you choose.
Take a look at your company profile through the eyes of a potential buyer. Is it clear what you offer, what expertise you have and who to contact? If not, spending a few minutes updating it may make a bigger difference than you think.
