Background
Our client is on a journey to optimize and improve our infrastructure and application operations and stability of service. They have 25000+ servers in our global data centers (Sweden, US, Singapore, China) and a large footprint in Cloud (GCP, Alibaba, Azure)

To ensure service availability we heavily invest in Operational Observability, based on standardised Data Collection, Data insight and Analytics.

We need to expand our team with an experienced engineer to support the ongoing optimisation and improvement of our Event Management and Observability implementation.

The IT consultant will work in a team of engineers with the design and operations of the Event Management solution that our client use. The solution is based on Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) with an integration to ServiceNOW for incident registration.

The consultant will work with the team to improve integrations to ServiceNOW, ensure quality in the Event Management process, stability of the service, knowledge sharing and presentations. 

Work location: Remote is ok, working CET hours.

ITIL - Event Management & Incident Management process
Splunk IT Service Intelligence for Event Management
Splunk ITSI Correlation rule design
ServiceNOW API and CMDB
Grafana Stack
Linux
Scripting and development skills
Excellent in English
Experience from working in large global multicultural organisations
