Data Engineer

<p><strong>Assignment Description</strong></p><p /><p>We are looking for a Data Engineer who can work on-site two days per week at our client’s office in the Malmö region.</p><p /><p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p><p /><p>To achieve the objectives, you will collaborate with various teams to collect and comprehend the data requirements for engineering performance indicators. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that facilitate the extraction, processing, and transformation of raw data into actionable business insights. Additionally, you will design and manage data models that track performance metrics specific to engineering, aiming to improve the efficiency and scalability of data storage and retrieval systems. Working closely with data scientists and analysts, you will ensure that the data is both accurate and reliable, supporting informed decision-making.</p><p /><p><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong></p><p /><p>You should have a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, either at the bachelor’s or master’s level. With at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, particularly focused on building models for engineering performance, you will need strong expertise in SQL, Python, and data modeling techniques. Practical experience with large-scale data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is essential, along with proficiency in using Google BigQuery. Additionally, familiarity with business intelligence tools like PowerBI, Google Looker, or Qlik Sense will be important for success in this role.</p><p /><p><strong>Desired Attributes:</strong></p><p /><p>You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with a keen attention to detail. It’s equally important to be able to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.</p>
