<p><b><span>ABOUT THE ROLE </span></b></p><p><span>Datacenter Operations Expert reports into the Data Centre Solution Lead and Data Centre Operations Service Manager for technical and process <a>responsibilities.</a> This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the systems and software that support data centers. Datacenter Operations Expert performs various tasks related to the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data center operations, as well as ensuring the smooth operation and security of the center. The role is a contracted position and reviewed according to the contract terms and conditions.</span></p><p /><p><b><span>MAIN TASKS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES </span></b></p><p><span>This role requires overseeing, organizing, and maintaining our data center infrastructure and processes.</span></p><p><span>The Data Center Operations Expert is responsible for the daily operations and management of the data center, ensuring optimal performance of all hardware and software components, acting as 2nd/3rd level supporting the ServiceDesk and the IT colleagues.</span></p><p><span>The Data Center Operations Expert proactively improves actions on existing platforms as well as evaluates new technology and features, maintaining service operations uptime (OLA/SLA).</span></p><p><span>The Data Center Operations Expert has to follow standardised processes (SOPs, Work Instructions, KBAs) in compliance with approved policies and actively maintain data centre operational procedures and system configuration changes.</span></p><p><span>Applications in General- Supports application owners and is supported by suppliers to maintain Operational IT infrastructure, understands the technical specifications of the required from any Application owners request</span></p><p><b><span>SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE</span></b></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Between 3-5 years of experience in a global Operations Expert role in Datacenter Infrastructure</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>10 years plus of experience in </span><span>IT datacenter area</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of Cloud infrastructure (Azure)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of server operating systems (Microsoft Windows)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of hardware and software virtualization systems (VMware, Hyper-V)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of SCCM</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of SAN and NAS storage</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of Backup systems (Azure Backup, Veeam)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of MS SQL database</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory on-premise or hybrid cloud</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent troubleshooting, strong problem-solving skills (hardware and software issues)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Excellent security-understanding of data center security best practices and security protocols</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good knowledge of the main networking concepts and protocols (VLAN, ACL, Firewall, VPN, TCP/IP, routing, switching)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good knowledge of ITIL best practices (ServiceNow)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good knowledge of monitoring systems (SCOM, WUG, Nagios, Netcrunch, Zabbix)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good knowledge of Linux server operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)</span></p><p><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span><span>·</span></span><!--[endif]--><span>Good skills and experience in document editing (SOP, WIN, Templates, architectural designs)</span></p>
