<p>Desired skill level: Senior</p><p>Desired starting date: No later than 2025-01-20<br />Duration of the assignment: 12 months, with an optional extension of up to an additional 24<br />months divided into one or more extension periods.</p><p /><p>Location: Lund, Sweden<br />Number of hours: 100% on-site. </p><p><br />Tools and hardware needed: The consultant will bring their laptop and PPE if required.</p><p><br />Mandatory education background and professional experience: </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technology, or science.</li><li>3+ years in developing, integrating, and commissioning industrial automation systems.</li><li>3+ years of PLC development on Siemens TIA Portal.</li><li>2+ years of PLC development on other PLC brands like Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley, Schneider, or Beckhoff.</li><li>Experience in verification and validation of industrial automation systems.</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Excellent oral and written English skills are mandatory; knowledge of other European languages would be an advantage.</li></ul><p>Meriting education background and professional experience:</p><ul><li>Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, technology, or science.</li><li>Experience with EPICS Framework.</li><li>Experience with Python.</li><li>Experience with Linux OS.</li><li>Technical lead or project management experience.</li><li>Experience with the hardware design for PLC-based control systems.</li><li>Experience in complex, international projects or plants.</li><li>Experience working with configuration management tools, source code management tools, and version control systems.</li><li>Experience with collaborative electronic tools such as Jira.</li><li>Experience working in an international environment.</li><li>Experience working with nuclear power plant systems.</li></ul><p>Scope of the assignment:</p><ul><li>Analysis and definition of requirements for the development of process control systems for the<br />clients Accelerator and Target Station components.</li><li>Prepare functional specifications in conjunction with process engineers.</li><li>Specification of PLC configurations and control architectures.</li><li>Prepare specifications for PLC and HMI SW development.</li><li>PLC SW development for minor changes or upgrades.</li><li>Prepare outsourcing specifications and support associated procurement.</li><li>Interaction with commercial partners to ensure timely delivery of specified systems.</li><li>Definition and implementation of verification plans to ensure the correct quality of commercial deliveries.</li><li>Review HW and SW design to ensure compliance with the client's procedures and rules.</li><li>Review inspection and test plans provided by commercial partners and take part in tests and commissioning activities.</li><li>Maintenance, support, and improvements of delivered components.</li><li>Ensure all work follows the client's quality assurance, ICS integration strategy, and ESH policies.</li><li>Actively participate in work with deliverables and process quality.</li><li>Definition and implementation of verification plans to ensure correct quality of commercial<br />deliveries.</li></ul><p>The nature of the work implies the ability to travel, typically 3 - 5 days / 6 months away from Lund, mainly within Europe. Calculations for in-Europe travel should be based accordingly to set the tender's financial part.</p>
