Need for an engineer with advanced Linux and network communication competences. Deep knowledge of the Linux OS, Linux kernel , network stack, ethernet TCP/IP communication is required. The middleware in use is called RTI DDS and it uses UDP unicast, UDP multicast and shared memory for data transport. DDS knowledge is extra meritorious but not necessary.
The role consist of :
Analyse and troubleshoot the system middleware in vehicles and hardware rigs Establish a continuous dialogue with the middleware supplier providing feedbacks and request support Stress-test the system varying the amount of data volumes Tune the UDP-based communication stack for high performance Document and share the network configuration changes with the development teams Provide technical recommendations and support to the development teams Participate and support the engineers with in-vehicle integration tests
Work can partially be conducted off Scania premises but the candidate must be present on call at Scania offices/test sites. Scania will ensure that the all the corona regulations are followed for a safe work environment.
