Development of solutions for the Microsoft Office Suite
The company creates solutions in VBA for Excel and other parts of the Office suite. In addition these solution often involves queries in Access, SQL Server and other databases.
The assignments range from the odd hour for a smaller client to several months worth of work for global corporations like Tetra Pak, IKEA and KPMG.
We create all kind of Excel-based solutions but there a two kind of solutions that are most common:
* Solutions that make manual operations in Excel redundant. This is normally the case when converting one file type to anothger, e. g. XML- to an CSV-file. The solutions have the potential of saving many hours of work a month for reoccuring tasks. For one of our clients we have created a solution that converts monthly financial statements from Swedish to German nomenclature, saving two working days a month.
* Development of prototypes that serve as blueprints for other software solutions. Many clients don't have a clear cut idea of the requirements they will demand for a solution. Using Excel as a front-end and Access as a back-end we will work closely with the end users and let them experiment with the design and mechanism of the software. Once the client is satisfied the solution will serve as a blue print or inspiration for a more robust and permanent solution. In the mean time the temporaty Excel-based solution is fully operational.
