Optistring developed a new kind of solar inverter, which outperformed all competition. Both in terms of price, as well as performance. My work spanned across a few different areas.
* Firmware development Most of my time was spent on writing low level software such as drivers and control loops for the system, which ran on a collection of distributed microcontrollers. A lot of board bring-up, and making sure that all off chip devices ran as planned. I was also responsible for the software and security architectures, which included different forms of encryptions throughout the system.
* System QA I was responsible for testing procedures and release handling to make sure that all shipped systems fulfilled the expected quality requirements. This included a lot of lab work, inspecting analog measurements and sifting through log data.
* System deployment and After-Sales Support Once our system was deployed at customer facilities, I was responsible for making sure that everything was work

I developed embedded C software for the JAS-39 Gripen reconnaissance pod in compliance with DO-178B/C. The code was written for a VxWorks RTOS environment, and included a lot of unit- and simulation-tests.

I developed a firmware prototype for the TS-1 wireless sensor during my internship. The work was mainly focused on constructing a multi node wireless protocol for the Nordic Semiconductor nrf24-platform. Besides that, I also wrote drivers and signal processing libraries for an on-board accelerometer.
My Master's thesis was also done here, a MEMS-mirror laser vector projector, with code running bare metal on a Cortex A8. The main challenge consisted of researching and developing a routing algorithm that would optimize vector drawing speed.
